These Firms Are Feasting On Stroock's Partners

Partner? Partner.

No need to worry about merging anymore!

After 147 years of service, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan will soon join the great law firm in the sky. And though the firm may die, the partners live on. And the great Macklemore once said, one firms’s partner run is another firm’s come-up. With the way that these firms have been gobbling up Stroock’s talent, it looks like Thanksgiving came early. From Reuters:

Crowell & Moring, Hogan Lovells, Steptoe & Johnson, Squire Patton Boggs and Thompson Coburn are among the law firms that have so far hired partners and other lawyers from Stroock, helping them quickly expand in New York and elsewhere.

Much of the Stroock dissolution coverage is partner focused, but we want to know how the rest of the firm is faring. Are you an associate at Stroock who’s found a home at another Biglaw firm? Are you using this as an opportunity to change tracks for a boutique? Our vast network of tipsters is part of what makes Above the Law thrive. You can email us or text us (646-820-8477). Thank you for your assistance.
